Time to Refuel… Again.

Gas prices these days are getting crazy!

That’s why it’s so important to be smart when you’re buying gas and when you drive! I know from firsthand experience that it stinks to buy your own gas when you want to be buying other things like food or clothes!

I’ve come up with a couple tips to use when you want to save money on gas!

DON’T SPEED:

Driving the actual speed limit and not speeding everywhere saves A LOT of gas. Your friends may call you a granny driver but you will have the last laugh whenever you’re able to buy more things than them!

DON’T IDLE:

Even though your car is stopped, it’s still using gas! Avoid idling at all costs!

FIND OTHER TANSPORTATION:

If there is somewhere close by you need to go, don’t use your car! Walk there or maybe even bike there! You will not only be saving gas but you will also be getting some great exercise!

TURN THE AIR DOWN:

A lot of people don’t know that running cold air on full blast actually can use up a lot of gas! So instead of blasting the AC, roll your windows down and enjoy the fresh air!

CRUISE CONTROL:

When you’re on the interstate, turn cruise control on! Cruise helps you to maintain a steady speed while saving you lots of gas.

ONE TRIP:

If you need to go to the mall for some shoes and then to the grocery store to pick up some dinner, do it all in one trip. Driving with a cold engine uses twice as much fuel as driving with a warm engine.

CARPOOL:

This is the easiest way of saving gas and the most enjoyable! It’s always fun to ride in a car packed with people and cruise around town!

SCREEN GAS STATIONS:

Last, but not least, look around at prices offered at different gas stations. That way you can compare each of them and decide which one is the cheapest!

If you have any unique ways of saving gas that I haven’t mentioned, leave a comment and share! I would love to hear from you!
