Tis’ the season to shop!
Thanksgiving is over which means Christmas is just around the corner!
One thing I love the most about this holiday is the excuse it gives me to shop! Except…shopping during the Christmas season is not like any other time. It’s like the superbowl of shopping and only the smartest players with the best moves win.
So, I’ve decided to share with you some of my secret shopping plays to help you win this holiday season!
Holiday shopping playbook of tips:
1. Makin’ a list, checkn’ it twice: Write down the names of people you are buying gifts for and what you plan on getting them!
2. Stick with a budget: Set aside time to establish a budget of how much you want to spend on each gift or each person you plan on buying a gift for. If you don’t do this step, you lose because more than likely you are going to spend way more than you should. Tis’ the season to shop, not become broke in the process!
3. Early bird gets the worm: Don’t put off your holiday shopping for the last minute. Start as early as you possibly can! Items are bound to go out of stock and fighting over the last item in the store is no way to increase your holiday spirit.
4. Browse online: Look at stores online and see everything they offer. This is a great way to avoid the crowds and concentrate on your shopping. Do you have family or friends that don’t live near you? Not a problem! Buy their gift online and have it shipped to their address. You can also sometimes get the company you’re buying it from to wrap it for you!
5. Use your debit card: The easiest way to shop is with your debit card. It’s much more convenient than dragging around a bulky checkbook. And it’s safer than carrying cash too. Some banks have thought about charging a fee to use a debit card, but not MIDFLORIDA. Their debit card is free from fees!
