Switch Places

If you could trade places with anyone (deceased, living, famous, or just your average Joe) for just a day… who would it be and why?

I think I would like to trade places with Ann Curry. She has my dream job as an anchor on NBC’s Today show. She is one of the few people I look up to because she’s classy, popular and successful. I have wanted to be a famous news reporter ever since elementary school. As the years went on, I became really interested in the Today show and all the neat things they have featured on the program. They cover some of the best stories and feature some really cool people.

I actually had the chance to meet Ann when I visited New York last summer. I made a huge sign that said “Hannah Sells is the next Ann Curry” and I stood outside Rockefeller Center where the Today show is taped. Anne noticed it while on camera and as soon as they cut to a commercial she ran over to me! She gave me some of the best advice on pursuing my dream as a Today show reporter. Always strive hard and never let go of your dreams… all that inspirational stuff!

I fell in love with being on camera in the 4th grade when I tried out for my elementary school TV news show, Eagle Watch. Being in elementary school I don’t think I knew how much it was going to affect me later in life. Since then, I have been involved with TV productions in every single grade. I have always loved writing, so journalism came second nature to me. When I got to middle school writing my own scripts got pretty easy, but you also have to be very creative if you want to be in TV productions. I love to make fun little segments and interview people on different topics.  It’s been my passion for almost 7 years now.

I would definitely trade places with Ann for a day, without a doubt!

Who would YOU trade places with!?
