Ending Soon… The Dark Knight Rises Giveaway

If you haven’t entered yet… do it now!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Batman fans of all ages, the time is soon approaching. Next Friday (Thursday at midnight, when it actually becomes Friday), The Dark Knight Rises!!!! Please people, contain yourselves – we have a little business at hand. Seems like you guys are as excited about the premiere as I am. However, if you haven’t entered yet to win the free tickets…WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?! Now I know this summer has been crazy and you all have very busy schedules, but it’s super easy to enter. All you have to do is text the word “Mattman” to the number (863) 808-0545. And that’s it! You’ll get a text back saying you entered. Don’t worry, we won’t be spamming your phones with a million trillion advertisements or stuff you don’t want to see.

Now, some of you have called with questions, so I’d like to take a minute to clarify a few details. Here are some questions I’ve been seeing:

Q: Are we giving away IMAX and non-IMAX tickets?

A: No, we are only giving away 40 tickets (20 winners) to the IMAX showing of The Dark Knight Rises.

Q: When is the movie playing?

A: We are giving away tickets to the premiere which is at midnight, Thursday, July 19. The movie begins at 12:01 AM which is technically Friday, July 20, but you would have to get there Thursday night.

Q: The postcard says “Come meet Matt and catch the premiere.” Does that mean if someone enters and doesn’t win the IMAX tickets, they can still see the non-IMAX movie for free?

A: No. We are only giving away tickets to the IMAX showing. I will be in the lobby of the Cobb Theatre so anyone can come up and say hello. I’ll have a table set up and will be giving away other prizes such as Cobb gift cards, t-shirts and more.

Q: How old do you have to be to enter the contest?

A: The contest is open for youth, ages 10-22, within MIDFLORIDA’s service area. However, since the movie is rated PG-13, if someone under the age of 13 wins, they will need to bring a parent or guardian to claim their tickets.

Q: How many times can someone enter?

A: Once per person per day. Duplicate entries in a day from the same phone number will be discarded.

Q: When will the drawing end and the winners announced?

A: The drawing is open from June 26-July 17. Winners will be drawn and contacted by phone call on Wednesday, July 18. If we don’t make contact with the winners by 4pm on Wednesday, we’ll draw new winners.

Q: Where will winners go to pick up their tickets?

A: The winners will pick up their tickets on the night of the premiere, Thursday, June 19, from me. I will be at a table inside the lobby of the Cobb Theatre at Lakeside Village in Lakeland.
